We are pleased to offer classes in Bristol, Portishead and Radstock, where new comers are always more than welcome! Our doors are open to everyone, from complete beginner to experienced martial artist from of any background or discipline. Whether you wish to compete professionally or simply want to get fit and enjoy the experience. Combat Warriors truely has something for everyone. We offer classes for men, woman and children. All our coaches have been carefully hand picked for their wealth of expertise and quality of instruction.

Many people consider our programs for the high level of fitness, others simply to learn the art and for self defence whilest some wish to explore their competitive streak. As well as the benefits that come with being physically fit, there is a confidence that comes with knowing you will be able to defend yourself and your loved ones should the situation ever present itself. If you have never been to a martial arts gym before it can be hard to know what to expect. But do not threat, we are very welcoming and our professional staff and team are always on hand to assist you. Along side our Pro Fight Team we have office workers, students and many others. Inspiration from our superior athletes seem to quickly infect newcomers. You will find our devoted team of students very friendly and approachable. There is no need to feel intimidated by anyone, we all share a common goal which is to help every student reach their full potential!

Combat Warriors takes a personal interest in your progress. Regardless of your level you will find that they have genuine pride in your achievements and will be working towards making the most of your abilities, without ever asking you to undertake tasks that you are not prepared for, or would dent your confidence. Our instructors would never expect you to do something they could not do themselves, they also regualrly join in during class drills with the aim to encourage and inspire all students.

How to Join

The first and most difficult step is getting yourself to a class, just thinking about it will not get you there! remember you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! We are confident that you will enjoy your experience, but if for any reason you decide our academy is simply not for you, we promise not to hassle you! We do politely ask if you could call in advance so that we may check class sizes to avoid over crowding! But should you require more infomation or just want to see for yourself what our students and instructors have to offer, please feel free to call into one of our venues near class times and speak to one of our instructors who are always more than happy to assist you.

Other Advice

We cannot fully convey the friendly atmosphere and dedication that our instructors and students create. Our training is not about bland physical fitness programs or just practical self defence, we provide training of the highest calibre and the atmosphere can be electric.

What to bring:

Bring plenty of water and possibly a sweat towel and change of top as your likely to sweat quite a lot! Replenishing water is essential for all athletes of any breed or discipline!

What to wear:

If you have already aquired suitable apparell for your chosen discipline, please feel free to wear them, if you do not already have equipment, do not despair, we have plenty of supplies for you to obtain at a later stage once you decide to train regularly with Combat Warriors. In the meantime you should wear lose shorts or tracksuit bottoms that do not cause any restriction, but if you opt for tracksuit bottoms please ensure they do not extend under your feet for risk of slipping while kicking etc. On top - older t-shirt not too baggy or vest / jersey / performance tops are fine - please do not wear your nicest tops as they are likely to get saturated and knocked about a little! Please be sure to remove any jewellery and leave safely at home.

After weeks of going to different fitness classes i.e. boot camp, circuit training and body conditioning I decided they wasn’t giving me the effects that I would like so I decided to try a different class, that’s when I heard about Muay Thai. If I’m honest I only started this class as I heard from rumours it is the best form of weight loss and fitness there is. However when I started I found I really enjoyed it and now after 4 months of training in this martial arts sport I will never go back. Lee Badman is an excellent coach and teacher of the sport, within the gym there is a great atmosphere and we all get on really well. I am looking forward to improving my performance and competing later this year.

I have tried many sports in my lifetime from rugby to american football, kickboxing and karate, but none have tested or challenged me and my body as much as Muay Thai has! Combat Warriors has helped me so much to improve my fitness, technique, strength and confidence. Being under the wing of a very unique trainer who has a very broad knowledge of the martial art and is a very patient and friendly teacher. I have met alot of great people and they all vary in style and experience which makes it so much more fun and helps me adapt my skills in all aspects of this sport. I will never look back! Lee will help me take myself to the best I can be in the sport. If your thinking of trying Muay Thai yourself I can definately reconmend Combat Warriors. You won't find a better knowledge of the sport in Bristol and you wont be pushed as hard physically but its very rewarding!
